There is nothing constant in the world. Nothing is meant to last. Time is not linear and our perception of reality sets our boundaries. Our limitations in life.
Everything in life is a concept, a perception of reality, of what is real, what is true. Nothing is ever constant, rigid or set in stone. The world is always changing, moving forward and altering itself. Nothing remains, nothing lasts forever. There can be no death without life and no life without death and yet, neither truly exists.
Nothing lasts forever, but…
We all go through journeys and both life and death are journeys we shall all come to experience. Who says death is not but a door to another reality, or perception of what is real? Is it even possible to die? Can one ever begin or cease to exist? While nothing lasts forever, I do believe there is something that lasts in every perception of reality. In every life, every death and that is our spirit, or soul if you will.
I believe that each of us has a soul that is a fragment of light, of good. Our souls may take many forms, be perceived in many ways, and live many different kinds of lives depending on the perception of what is real but ultimately, our souls are as old as anything that has ever existed. We have no clear beginning and thus no clear end. I find comfort in that. There is a sense of permanency in that thought. Something we can rely on.
Seek awareness
Some people in the world are aware of the thin veils that separate the worlds, or rather the perceptions of reality. They are sometimes even able to see and differentiate between different perceptions of reality. By that, I mean other worlds, worlds that most do not see. These people are either labelled geniuses or freaks of nature. But whatever they are called, they are aware. They keep their third eye wide open. It is their open mind that makes them able to see the layers of reality and explore their perception beyond all limits.
Search for the truth
There is no story ever told that is not true. There is no such thing as fiction. Every other “world” that has been described by an author or sketched by an artist is real. As are the characters and the creatures within it. Everything we see, feel and touch – what we perceive to be real – exists in our minds. That is where everything begins. As limitless as our sense of imagination may seem to be, the perception of reality is as limitless, if not more.
If we can imagine it, it is real. If we believe it to be real, it is. Nothing in the world is impossible and time is just another concept. Something that we have conjured up to give us a false sense of security. An illusion of being in control. Sleep is simply when one rests from one reality to be awake in another. Science fiction and fantasy are just terms to describe realities that are real but perceived to be impossible by those who have a more limited perception of reality.
Open your mind
When it comes right down to it, everything we’ve ever heard about exists in a reality somewhere. Thus, the greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to accept everything as something real. All creators that seek something more out of life, are aware. They may not be aware that they are aware, but they are.
They see something more and they search for the truth. More so than others, they are bathing in light, the light of their souls. Most people avoid the truth, or believe that the truth is a lie. All because to believe that the truth is true, they would have to let go of their limits. Let go of their notions of what is real and what isn’t.
It is hard for some to open their minds. They find it easier to do nothing, believe nothing and attempt nothing in life. There is little risk in that. Some believe that their perception of reality is the only one that is valid. They mistake opinion for fact. They will tear down anyone who does not share their reality. Then some do not form their own perception of reality, but hang on to and follow someone else’s.
Lethal combination
In war throughout history, we were led astray due to the last two examples. Someone spoke with conviction and believed that theirs was the only opinion that mattered. Other people’s opinions did not matter to them. When such an individual receives a platform to speak to those who would rather not think for themselves… The combination is lethal. There is strength in numbers and the world has- and has always had a great number of citizens who would rather not think for themselves. Who are quite incapable of doing so. And they’ll listen to anyone who’s even remotely charismatic and confident in what they’re saying.
Good vs bad
Take the government for example. The government claims to know best. It also claims it does what is best for the vast majority. That it has the people’s interests in mind. But in reality, the government thinks of little more than money. And how much they can get out of us. Governments also have control in mind, and they are severely corrupted. In a world where the “good guys” are no longer good and the “bad guys” pretend to be bad, people need to start thinking for themselves. They need to start questioning what is right and what is wrong. What perception of reality do they believe in and what do they want out of life for themselves and their families?
Not thinking is not an option unless we’re actively trying to start a third world war. And if that is the end goal, then not thinking is a surefire way to get us there. People need to get back to the mentality of the 60s and 70s. Not the mentality of the oppressors but the mentality of the rebels, the activists and the protesters. Back to the “I Have a Dream” speech by Martin Luther King. Back to the fights for equality and back to the soul of the hippies.
Believing in peace is not childish. It is not something that should be mocked and it is not something that should be associated with drugs and ignorance.
Conclusion:
Life is not about procreation and living for the weekend. Nothing in life is meant to last. The good times or the bad. Nothing lasts. And truthfully, that is a good thing. In realising that, we can find the strength to find the light in the darkness, and the inner peace to enjoy and appreciate the good times while they last.
We need to think for ourselves and we need to realise that our words have more power than we sometimes believe. Our words can make or break a person. We can harm others with our words though we do not intend to. It is important to be clear, to be honest, and to not force our opinions on others. We cannot expect others to understand us if we do not clearly express ourselves. Misunderstandings happen so very easily.
The world holds a great web of lies. It is easy to get stuck in that web. And so we have to take great care to not be the spider or the fly. We mustn’t weave a greater web of lies, or be the fly that gets caught within it.
By keeping our minds open, admitting that we know nothing, and approaching situations with a sense of peace, we can transform the world as we know it. We will expand our perception of reality, and broaden our idea of what is possible and impossible. By doing so, we will live big lives. Important lives. Honest lives.
