These are the perennials I’ve gathered and raised over the years in my survival container garden.
As Lughnasadh came and went, the harvest season began. Harvesting and preserving the garden is the daily routine. We’re in a race against time and the elements.
The survival container garden is doing well, all things considered. However, the effects of the rain cannot be denied. The garden is in desperate need of sun.
The second half of the season has begun. It is now all about maintenance, fertilising and harvesting daily in the garden. And preserving all that I can.
What happened in my survival container garden this week? Seeds sprouted, some plants bloomed, and berries ripened on the bushes. The garden is in full motion.
The rain continued and the humidity made the slug population flourish. They just kept coming. Even so, the plants kept growing taller and wider every day.
What happened in my garden this week? It was a very productive and eventful week. Battles won against pests, wonderful harvests and beautiful progress.
