I Sold My First Copy of “The Pantry”

For the last few years I have been writing a guide and cookbook called “The Pantry”. I worked on it in a few programs before settling for Canva, but that led to quite a few technical issues. The formatting didn’t work and nothing looked the way I wanted it to after the file had been converted. I did my research and found out that my best shot at making it look the way I wanted it to look was to create it in Word. I finished the last formatting a few days ago and yesterday I sold the first copy. It holds well over 100 recipes that are all plant-based, gluten-free, nut-free and frugal. I have created them all from scratch.

Comment below if you’re interested in purchasing a copy. Through the method I teach, I have lowered my food costs somewhere between 50 and 75 percent. And that is during inflation. The food prices just keep going up, but I hope to be able to stick to my current budget by making good use of coupons, discounts and freebies.

Selling the first copy was quite nervewracking but also really exciting. “The Pantry” is the first in a series of three books and the series is called “The 3 Keys To Personal Freedom”. The first book is about establishing food security and natural health through keeping a pantry. The second, which will soon be published, is about container gardening and growing your own food no matter where and how you live. And the third book is about financial independence and topics such as budgeting, cutting costs, what you can get for free, increasing your income, creating a passive income and more. I also have a shorter e-book about urban foraging.

Once I have decided on which online shop service to use, I will open one and upload my books and all of the digital files that I have made. Templates, spreadsheets, guides etc. It will be a one stop place for getting the information you need to achieve personal freedom.

I have found that most entrepreneurial pursuits require a lot of trial and error. You’ll end up finding a ton of ways that don’t work before you find the one that does. But it is fun and you keep learning new things every day. And there’s no commute and no boss to answer to, so win win.

Once I have published these books, my courses and have opened my shop, I’ll be focusing on my other projects for a while. Art and writing fiction novels. I am taking a couple of art classes right now and it’s really fun. I am an artist and it is important to keep learning new things and improve your skill. Also, the more I learn, the more ways there are for me to turn my art into an additional source of income as well.

While I long for the day when I don’t need to actively work for money, I am not quite there yet. But I am working on it, and I get a little bit closer every day. And I have decided to focus a bit more of my work as lightworker. I am a reiki master, tarot reader and medium in training. With the world the way it is, I have a feeling there will be more and more people in need of healing.

I don’t think any of us are made for working 50-odd years at a 9 to 5 only to figure out you can’t afford to retire. There are better ways out there, and I will keep exploring them.
