This is one of the best and easies passive income sources that I’ve tried. I earn a few gift certificates or money sent to my PayPal ever month.

No matter our current income, we all want to earn a bit extra, don’t we? And doesn’t it sound nice to spend a few minutes a day a few days a week and earn real money or gift certificates out of it?

That’s what I do as one of my side hustles. I answer surveys about all sorts of topics. For each one, I get a certain amount of points. After I’ve done a few surveys, I can convert the points to physical items – all sorts of things, from home decor to clothes – a pre-paid credit card, money sent to PayPal or the gift certificate of my choosing.

Don’t trust blindly

There are people everywhere on social media who speak of things you could do to earn money passively or as a side hustle, but they haven’t actually tried what they suggest. It’s just plain old click bait.

This is the real deal

This is not like that. This actually works. I have tried it, I do it daily, and I’ve done it for a few years now. It has saved me a lot of money and I’ve used to gift certificates and money for both my clothing purchase and tech purchases, which in turn has helped my budget a whole lot.

Taking surveys now covers my annual budget for tech, most of my budget for clothes and my next goal is to have it cover my groceries as well.

The survey sites that I use:

International

Ipsos i-Say

3 out of 5. There are usually one or two surveys available daily. Each survey gives you a certain amount of points. The payment threshold is around 600 points. With enough surveys, you could earn 10-30 dollars a month from this site. Potentially more depending on which type of withdrawal you choose.

Intercheck

3 out of 5. The amount of surveys available will depend on your demographics. But when there are surveys to fill out, the pay is always good and the payment is made out automatically at the beginning of the following month. For example, if you work for them in February, and you’ll be paid during the first few days of March.

Lifepoints

5 out of 5. Easy to earn, low threshold and easy to withdraw money. I earn around 5-10 dollars a week through this site.

Swagbucks

2 out of 5. There are plenty of ways to earn money at Swagbucks, but you might need to configure it a bit the first time you use it. Let it know what you’re interested in doing and what you’re not interested in doing. I earn around 10 dollars a month using this site.

Surveoo

1 out of 5. There are plenty of surveys available, but it is difficult to qualify and the payment threshold is quite high compared to other services. It might be easier for residents in other countries.

Nordic countries

M3-Panel

5 out of 5. For about 1500 points you get a 100 sek gift card. There are daily surveys available ranging from 50 to 150 points, so it’s very easy to earn at least one or two gift certificates per month. You can also trade the points for lottery tickets, charity donations and a bunch of physical items.

Åsiktstorget

4 out of 5. There aren’t many surveys, but the payment threshold is low and the surveys give out a lot of points, so it only takes a handful of surveys to be able to withdraw money.

Surveyeah

4.5 out of 5. This is one of the easiest sites to earn from. I get a gift certificate every or every other day. If you want gift certificates or money at PayPal sent to you in greater amounts, just wait a bit longer before you withdraw your earnings. I tend to earn between 2-6 euros per day through that site.

Kundpanelen

4.9 out of 5. The website design isn’t fantastic, (mainly the yellow font against the white background), but there are a lot of surveys available, the payment threshold is low and it is easy to withdraw money. I earn around 10-30 dollars a week through this site.

Triaba

5 out of 5. There are a lot of surveys availably daily, the payment threshold is low and it is very easy to withdraw money. I earn around 10-30 dollars a week through this site.

Panel+

5 out of 5. There are a lot of surveys available daily, the payment threshold is low and it is easy to withdraw money. I earn around 10-30 dollars a week through this site.

Remember:

The more information you’re willing to share, the more surveys you will be allowed to answer. No matter which company you choose, you will have to fill out a few questions so that they can put together a profile of you. That way they’ll know which surveys to match you with. If you don’t like the terms of a certain survey, just say so and you’ll be sent back to the homepage and they’ll find you a new one.

In my experience, there are three review suppliers – that some of the sites use – that have a high amount of faulty surveys and surveys that disqualify most users. Those are CPX, YourSurveys, BitLabs, Pollfish and Inbrain. For every working survey from those suppliers, you may have to go through up a few dozen that do not work at all. This can also differ depending on your demographics. I prefer Cint and Napa. YourSurveys and CPX also tend to request an inappropriate amount of personal details, which doesn’t feel safe to me.

Conclusion:

If you don’t mind sharing information anonymously, filling out surveys can be a great side hustle.

What I earn and how I spend it

My income from surveys currently covers the cost of my storage unit, my monthly budget for food and tech, my health insurance, my phone plan, my mobile internet and my health costs (drs appointments, supplements and meds). If I have any money left after that, I either use it to buy e-books, place it in a savings account or I use it to invest in stocks and shares.

To be more precise, I earn about 300-450 dollars per month doing surveys, and this is only my second month. The goal is to earn 500 dollars a month from surveys, but I would have sign up for a few more survey companies to accomplish that.

The only cost I have left to cover is my rent, and soon my other side hustles will cover that as well.

Reach financial freedom asap

When your side hustles and/or passive incomes cover your monthly expenses, no matter what passive incomes or side hustles you prefer, that means you are nearing financial freedom.

Can you feel it? Financial freedom is within your reach.

Happy earning!
