What we are, we attract. Or rather, our frequency can only attract that which is on the same frequency. To live our best lives, we must first raise our vibration.

There’s a saying that we are what we eat. But it is also true that we put into the world is what we attract. At least energetically. If your vibration is low, you will attract low frequency people, misery and essentially everything we do not want anywhere near our lives.
Have you ever noticed that when we have a bad day, bad things keep happening around us? Say you overslept. Then you missed your bus and the second bus was delayed. Only to find out your class was cancelled. It’s a ripple effect. Rings on the water increasing one by one. One drop of negativity and low vibes is all it takes. Then off the ball rolls in the wrong direction.
The world is full of people, media and situations that will most certainly bring your vibration down if you let it. And it is very easy to let it. Just one look at social media can leave you reeling. Plenty of people go online for the sole purpose of starting arguments with strangers, but far from all of them are aware of the fact.
Going into the comment section of any post or video online is a rabit hole like no other. Hardly ever worth it, but it will most certainly drain you. Things like that are therefore best avoid you.
How do you go about raising your vibration?
Best to start by evaluating your current vibration and your life at present. How are you feeling? And “fine” is not an option. How are you really feeling?
Have things been going your way as of late? Are you living your best life? Or are you very troubled? Does it seem like there are obstacles forever lying in your path?
The truth is that almost all of us can do with raising our vibration. We live in a world that constantly tries to drag it down, you see, and so it is best to make an effort not only to keep it as is but to keep raising it.
1. Affirmations
Affirmations go a long way, as our thoughts carry more weight than some might think. Thoughts are very powerful, as is the way we speak to ourselves. Think of how you talk to yourself in your mind, how you address yourself, how you describe yourself. Is it with kindness and love? Or are you consciously or subconsciously bullying yourself on the daily?
2. Art
3. Acupressure
Acupressure is when you press certain points on the body for healing effects. There are points for organs, glands and there are points that we can press to release certain emotions and trauma. To regularly massage or apply pressure on this points helps our energy flow and improves our health.
4. Cold baths/showers
Cold baths have many healing effects, and cold water can also be used to be brought out of a panic attack or stop intense anxiety. It distracts and acts like a restart button for the brain. Cold water helps to reduce inflammation, and inflammation is not only hazardous to your health but to your energy as well. Cold baths can have positive effects on mental health and help with muscle cramps and pain. It is also a good way to regulate your nervous system. It can help reduce stress long-term as well.
Stress, mental health issues and inflammation can all cause each other and they can all lower your vibration. With fewer of them, your health improves and your vibration rises.
5. Grounding in nature
Walk barefoot in nature and bury your toes in the sand or the soil. Place your bare palms on the bark of a tree. Hug the tree. Step into the water and get your toes wet. These are all things that help us stay grounded and healthy. Which in turn is positive for our vibration.
6. Meditation
Meditation is good for both physical health and mental health. It helps us be more mindful, to stop and smell the roses and enjoy life for what it is. By taking the time to meditate and be mindful, we raise our vibration and invite calm and peace into our lives.
7. Massage
Massages can be healing. Not just for the body, but for the soul as well. For one, we all need touch in some form to bear the weight of a heart in this world. Platonic or otherwise, it does not matter. The warmth and touch of another human being can be very healing. And daring to lie down all vulnerable and letting a stranger help you untie the knots in your back, and bring you some sense of relaxation or peace, is a very brave thing.
Many go without the touch of anyone for so long that begin to fear it and shy away from it. So getting a massage can be a very good way to get past that, and change the tide.
It is said that we all need a certain number of hugs daily to stay regulated, to keep our immune systems healthy and to stay healthy mentally. I’d wager that very few human beings in modern society get even a small portion of that amount. In this lonely world, a massage can therefore be exactly what we need to get on the right keel. To make us feel warm, tended to and cared for. And if you do have any greater issues with joints or muscles, there are massage techniques that can help with that too.
At any rate, releasing that which builds up inside of us, be it in our muscles, in our organs or in our emotions, is a very good step to raising your vibration. All of that weight weighs us down and brings our vibration down as well. Releasing it is essential to be able to live the life you desire.
8. Music
Have you ever listened to a song that gave you goosebumps or made your eyes tear? Perhaps you enjoy ASMR? Well, that feeling is healing to the nervous system and activates parts of your brain and your senses in the best of ways. It can help with relaxation as well as concentration and creativity. It can help remove blocks, especially emotional ones, and that in turn can help us vibe high.
9. Positive self-talk
Positive self-talk is essential when you want to keep a high vibration. Affirmations can help with that, certainly. But the work starts on the inside, and it takes time to rewrite the way our brains have been wired over the years. Especially if they are wired to the negative and the degrading.
9. Reiki
Reiki is a healing technique where the practitioner – the reiki master – channels energy, chi, into the patient’s body where it is needed. There are unbelievers of course, but I am not one of them. I love receiving reiki as it is an experience like no other. It can make you feel all sorts of sensations and sometimes it can even feel as though you are flying. Many fall asleep during reiki sessions, but the ones who stay awake often say that they can’t quite describe how it felt. Only that they want to try it again.
I am a reiki master, mind, so I may be a tad biased. But the very reason I learned how to become a practitioner was because I had experienced the benefits of reiki for myself. Not just the way it relaxes you deeply, and calms your nervous system. But also how it could start a healing process on a deeper level. I’ve experienced the healing effects on my energy, immune system and even internal organs. Even as a practitioner, I keep going to other practitioners for distance reiki and reiki in person. That’s how much I believe in it.
And yes, if you don’t have access to a local reiki practitioner, distance reiki is certainly an option. If you have a session scheduled, it is best to take that time to yourself, and don’t double book yourself. Have a cup of herbal tea, lay down and relax, meditate or simply focus on healing during the session.
10. Reprogramming frequencies & singing bowls
When you sleep, work or even just sit quietly, you can listen to singing bowls and certain frequencies to raise your vibration and help your body and soul to heal. I prefer to listen to them when I sleep, or at least keep them on while I sleep. They do make a difference, and you feel different when you wake up. It is as though you sleep more deeply, and it can start a detox in your body that in turn will help you heal and raise your vibration.
11. Tapping
Tapping is an excellent relaxation technique and can help a lot if you suffer from anxiety, PTSD or panic attacks. You tap certain points of the body, often while saying affirmations or statements to invoke healing. With less anxiety and improved mental health, your vibration will rise.
12. Water meditation
A water meditation is when you meditate using water, often in the shower. I find that works best. As you enter the shower think of what you want to heal, how you want to feel and what kind of life you want. Consider what you deem to be standing in your way, and as the water pours over you, imagine the obstacles disintegrating. Imagine them being washed away. With every drop of water, imagine yourself getting closer to what you want. Imagine the water full of white healing light that raises your vibration and makes you soar.
13. Yoga
There are different kinds of yoga and they are all beneficial for both physical and mental health. There are meditative yoga positions that help us connect to a higher consciousness and those can also raise our vibration further.
Good luck!
